It's one of 'those' mornings..clear then cloudy then clear then cloudy etc., the start time could be delayed and then again it might not..if you're a patient person come at your regular time and if you're not a patient person, come at 10:00. Today looks good for golf, ignore tomorrow's forecast.

We're starting off with a bit of frost this morning. I don't think the start time will be delayed but - and there's always a "but" - it depends on what happens with cloud cover in the next hour or so. Either way, if there is a delay it won't be for long. The rest of the day should be great for golf. A bit of light rain in the afternoon never hurt anyone.

-1c so again we have frost. We've been lucky this past week and the frost has come off earlier than expected so I'm going to go out on a limb this morning and say the start time will be 9:30ish ...I know, that's a daring prediction but recklessness runs in my blood. Enjoy the sun this afternoon.

-1c and partly cloudy...heavy frost..10:00ish heavy. Sunny this afternoon but wind out of the north so layer up. To the chagrin of many we're not making the right bunker by 1 green bigger. In fact we're shaping it a little different and sodding it in. Our projected time to completion is about 10 days. It is ground under repair for the duration.

We've seen this many times this winter, clear and cold overnight then clouds moving in with the chance of a shower so that begs the question will we start on time? I doubt it. Closer to 10:00 today. The frost is really heavy and I think the showers will miss us. Sunshine this afternoon. Play well.

Crystal clear all night so that brings the frost but now there is a front moving in bringing a bit of rain. The question now is whether the rain and/or warmth hits to melt the frost before the scheduled start. I'd say yes it will but be prepared for a delay just in case I'm wrong( which has happened only 37 times this year). It's an umbrella day.

Clear sky overnight in February = FROST. It's a pretty good one too, so I'd expect a start time of around 10:00, give or take. Once we get going, though, it should be a great sunny day for golf. Enjoy your round.

Some blue sky showed up for a while yesterday but it looks to be taking today off. Some wind and light rain are on the way but have you seen the forecast for the rest of the week? It looks very promising for golf. Lots of sunshine on the way. AND...we'll start on time today.

Just in case you were out golfing yesterday and thought we were drying out too much, do not fear, we got 14mm overnight so we're good. The start should be on time as it's mostly cloudy. Just a 40% chance of rain today so perfect golf weather and an added bonus is there isn't a big worry about uv rays.

7c with light rain, again?!!!??...which will lead into cloudy with showers(70% pop) tomorrow which will lead into light rain (90%pop) Friday. Nothing but sunshine for the weekend though...isn't February always a nice month?..always I thought..we're not supposed to fear drowning in February..ok, last year was the anomaly but if we throw this year into the equation we have two years in a row and now does that make it a tradition? Son of a..time for my yellow glasses.

Another 22 mm of rain fell yesterday and this morning's "light rain" isn't feeling all that light at the moment. However, the rumour is that it should taper off by this afternoon. All is not lost: the start will be on time!

It's a cool morning but not frosty, good news..the forecast is for rain later but that could be as wrong as yesterday's forecast..could be...by looking at the satellite images for western Canada the optimist in me says the clouds are going to split around us and we won't get much rain, yet the realist in me says bring an umbrella and nobody wants to know what the negative part of me has to say. All weather gloves????

Not a cloud to be seen for 200 miles(321.868 kms more or less) so it'll be no surprise to anyone when I say we have frost. Today's forecast high is 12c so an afternoon round of golf will be awesome. A guesstimate of a 10:00ish start is what we're going with today. Enjoy the sunshine and your game and whatever you do don't look at the long range forecast, those of us that have looked are depressed enough for everyone that hasn't looked.

Light(sometimes heavy) rain and 5c...sounds like a perfect day for golf. To heck with the super bowl game, it's going to be a blow out anyway. Panthers by 17...what's up with the temperatures this week , a bunch of 10s with an 11 thrown in on Tuesday? I hope that forecast is right..like I heard from an 'extreme ' optimist "spring is just around the corner ".

 Oh I almost forgot... The start should be on time today barring any unforeseen circumstances.

Good thing I reserved the right to be wrong...
The frost is leaving us quicker than expected and the course will be open by the time you read this. We'll start on the Pines today to give some puddles on the Glen time to drain off. Enjoy your round.

When it rains it pours. And it did. Over an inch of rain came at us yesterday, mostly in a sideways fashion, so there will be a few puddles out there today. And to rub salt in the wound the system blew through here overnight and left us with clear skies. You guessed it: FROST. I'm going to guess that 10:30ish will be the start time while reserving the right to be dead wrong. Enjoy the sunshine.

Up until a few years ago, when it was overcast we didn't have to worry about frost ..now it doesn't matter, it's overcast and we have frost...I was a little off with a guesstimate of the start time yesterday so today I'll split the difference, let's use 10:30 as a start time goal and see how close I get. There shouldn't be any frost worries for the next three days, umbrellas  umbrellas umbrellas.

Clear and cold and frosty...not a strange situation for February 1st...if we use 11:00 as a time to shoot for for a start we shouldn't be too far off , either way. I'm not sure that El Niño is any benefit for us on the weather front...I liked last year better.
