An overnight shower and some cloud cover have kept the frost at bay this morning. As long as the clouds don't clear out in a rush we should be able to start on time. And, if the forecasters aren't pulling our legs, we're due for sunshine a bit later in the day. Enjoy your round.

Frost frost frost...the forecast is for rain (light) today but so far it hasn't shown up, hence the frost. Have an extra cup this morning and wait for the rain. We will most likely get out by 10:30 (temps? ) if the rain holds off that long. Patience.

5c with light rain.....yeah yeah yeah! !!!...no frost! !!...the start will be on time and no temps...what a wonderful life we have! !!...just under 2mm overnight so no need for boots again today...what a country!

4c and a bit of rain...now we're talking...winter on the west coast..we had about 5mm overnight so the dust problem should be alleviated. ..it looks like the heavy rain is waiting until this evening (so thoughtful)..dare I say the fog is gone? ?...here's to life on the wild side...the fog is gone! !..the start will (most likely) be on time. Stupid cold...stupider fog...we have frost again so we're in the same shape as yesterday. ..10:30ish on temps noonish on greens...lets hope for a bit earlier for the start and see if collectively we can alter the space time continuum. Hhhuuuummmm! !!???!!!

It's a carbon copy of yesterday morning, with clear skies, -1 on the thermometer and frost as expected. There's fog in the forecast but let's hope it doesn't show up as the direct sunshine got us started just after 10:30 yesterday. Hope for the best and we'll see you out there.

In January a morning fit for stargazing is not exactly conducive to an early tee time. It's clear, cold and frosty out there. Tee times will certainly be pushed back this morning, so give the pro shop a call after 10:00 for an update.

I hate to sound cynical but I'll never believe a forecast again. Where's the blazing sun we were told was imminent? Instead we're up to our ears in fog to start the day. Fog tends to burn off, though, so by the time you read this it could all be gone? Think warm thoughts and have a good game.

A little cooler this morning but the clouds are still doing their frost-denying best to keep the start time from being delayed. May they hang around for an hour or so and then vamoose until further needed. Enjoy your round.

As sometimes happens, the forecasters fed us some misinformation yesterday. Today was supposed to be the start of a very sunny week but instead we're socked in with fog. The sun should make an appearance tomorrow as the weather improves throughout the week. Keep your fingers crossed/overlapped/interlocked that that holds true.

Another day in paradise: the clouds have kept the frost away (so far) and as of tomorrow there looks to be a week of sunshine coming up. No complaints here.

It's a rare Jan.16 where there's not only no frost to start the day -- hopefully, the clouds don't clear up too quickly and surprise us with a temperature drop -- but it's dry enough out there to allow us to get out and cut some grass. As long as you stick to the tees, fairways and greens your playing surface is likely to be short and striped by the end of the day. Enjoy your round.

In the good news/bad news category, there will be no frost delay this morning but that's based on feel rather than eyesight as it's too foggy to see much at all at this point. Caution recommended on roads and golf courses!

Back to normal...that was short lived..this spring thing could have the decency to last a bit longer. We have frost at moment so have that third cup and call the proshop for an update around 10:00.

Wow...a heat wave hit overnight. Isn't that just a pleasant surprise. It has cooled off a tad but still 6c which isn't too bad for this time of year. The remnants of the rain over the weekend are almost all gone so all is normal again. Golf on.

Another 1/2 " (13mm) of rain yesterday and overnight to add to the rain from the day before, 2 " (50mm). The course drains fairly well but with that volume over that short timeframe, well we're wet. Give us until 11:00 then call the proshop for an update. The driving range will be closed until 11:00 also and hopefully we'll of drained enough by then to open. How does that saying go " it never rains, but it pours"?

WOW. I thought the rain gauge was acting up this morning when I saw that the overnight total was "2.01 inches". And then I drove the course... The gauge is working just fine.

There are a few puddles to navigate around but the course drains off quite well, so rubber boots may be only a temporary necessity. The great news is that there is no frost! Enjoy your day.

With some more rain coming and the wind warning in effect for this afternoon it looks like an early round of golf is the wise choice today. Fortunately, there is no frost to be found and the start will be on time.

It's raining...now that sounds good for a full course to play on this morning but it hasn't rained enough yet to thaw out the greens. We will be on temps to start the day and then, like always, put the greens in play as soon as possible. It's such a perfect day for golf too, ...2c ( feels like 0c) a SE breeze at 15kph and a touch of rain. ..beautiful.

Anootthheerr clear and cold (relatively) night...but rejoice, rain is in the forecast. Don't get too excited about golfing today until 11:00ish and then we'll be on temps. IF the sun shines we might get on the greens around 1:00ish, maybe. Rain for the rest of the week so clean your clubs and shine up your putter for we'll be golfing for real tomorrow or Wednesday for sure (there are a lot of for's in that sentence, whew! !) Patience. .it's only January 6th.

Ok, here's the early skinny: It's two degrees colder this morning than it was yesterday morning. Today's high is going to be two degrees cooler than yesterday's. Happy-yet-frosty New Year to everyone. After yesterday's mild morning and rainy afternoon the clouds moved on and the cold moved in, leaving us with one frozen, white golf course. It'll be quite a while before we get going today, so I'd recommend checking back with the pro shop some time after 10:00 for an update.
