As you may have guessed, the course is currently lacking the colour green. White is the order of the day as we're covered in snow. It's not supposed to get above freezing today, so I'd recommend some indoor activities for now. See you after the thaw.

It's a bit soggy out there after more rain yesterday but that won't stop anyone who is (or should be) committed. We're on the cusp of frost but if the clouds hang around through sunrise we should be able to start on time. See you out there.

10c ..hellooo! !!...it's November 27..this is crazy...ok abnormal. ..there are showers in the area but I don't think the rain will start until later in the day or maybe after dark...play on.

Another substantial rain  'event' ( what the h--l is that) yesterday and overnight..light rain this morning then another  'event' this afternoon..we've had 65mm since Friday so the odd puddle is showing up...the start will be on time.

Mother nature is looking after the weekend golfer..rain overnight to keep the frost away and sunny periods forecast for the day light hours...10c for a high today with just enough of a breeze to keep the mosquitoes away, perfect...we'll see you out there.

Oops. I got so excited about the greens thawing out that I forgot to blog!
All eighteen holes will be open today once this frost takes its leave. It will be a beautiful day once we get going, so come on out and break your course record.

And so the thaw begins...

Eight of the front nine greens will be open today along with both practice greens and the driving range. If we get the rain that we were promised -- and it looks likely -- the lone holdout on the front may open later today. A full 18-hole round is not far off, so dust off your clubs for this weekend.

We will be on temps to start the day...no rain over night so the greens are still frozen part way down..hopefully they thaw completely today..patience.

2c...we've seen some improvement at the golf course (frost related) but the course is still frozen...if mother nature is kind we could get out on temps around noon...the driving range will be open all day...call before coming out if your desire is to play golf...patience, it's supposed to rain tonight.

Another cold morning..-6c..the ground is frozen and it doesn't warm up enough to thaw out so no golf again today...the driving range will be open later ...that could either tease or appease. ..rain is coming...patience, patience.

-5c...agaaaain! !?!!...don't despair, rain by the end of the week. I bet you never thought that in the middle of October...watch golf, CFL and NFL football, reruns of Holmes on homes, anything but soccer. ..who watches that anyway? ...if the temperature gets to the forecast high we might be able to get out on temps near noon ...call the pro shop before coming out though.

On the upside: it's warmer than -7. On the downside: it's a touch colder than -6.

Not exactly conducive to golf, unfortunately. All surfaces were still frozen well into the afternoon yesterday, so even nine holes on temps is unlikely again today. Thankfully, there are some soccer games on the tube, so all is not lost.

1c with a bit of a breeze...don't get excited now, we do have frost...the hopefully part of this is that MAYBE (notice the big maybe) we'll be able to start a bit earlier than yesterday. ...if you're warmed up between 9:30-10:00 you shouldn't be too far off ...enjoy the sun.

It's a sure sign that the day is going to start slow when you have to scrape the ice off of your vehicle's windows. ..-2c...today is 4º colder than yesterday so we probably won't start at the same time as yesterday. ..10:30ish might be an optimistic guess for today's start time, but we'll go with it anyway. The ish could have an expanded meaning today. Patience.

Yep, you guessed it, we have frost. Now I know the next question is when is it lifting so we can get out on such a beautiful day? I could tell you 9:34 , but that would be a lie. The truth is I don't know when the frost will lift but my guess for today will be 10:00ish. Tomorrow when we have frost again my guess will be closer to the actual fact than it is today...patience is the word...we'll see you out there.

Cough, cough, sneeze, cough...stupid dust on the blog keys...I really think this is a record, no frost delays (maybe one) since the first of May. Let the good times roll...oh yeah, no frost as of yet today, I'm just warming up the blog in anticipation of the dastardly event. Sun for the rest of the week so prepare for a golf marathon.
