It looks like a great week ahead, rain at times heavy with E and SE winds up to 50 km/h ... that joy isn't going to hit until tomorrow, today , we don't have to worry about golfing so we all can baton down

 the hatches and patch our rubber boots to prepare for the next 10 days. Friday looks like it could be a golfing opportunity, maybe...?!?!?!??

Don't get excited... the temperature isn't as cold as it has been but it's a long way from thawing out our frozen golf course. It took 5 days to get like this and it will take almost as much time to get back to normal once the temperature stays above freezing overnight. Rain is the answer and even with rain it will take some time.. (now that's a vague timeframe) . Patience, some people have it some people need to acquire it, you know who you are.

A day that starts with your car door being frozen shut comes with a few predictions, one of which is that golf is not in the cards. The ground didn't soften up yesterday and it's just as cold this morning, so it looks like another day to get a start on Christmas shopping. See you when we can.

In case anyone is holding on to hope, I'm afraid the ground is still frozen and we'll have to stay closed today.

It's even colder than at this time yesterday morning and we didn't open at all, so... Yeah, it's not looking good for golf today. Mind you, it is Black Friday today and there could be great deals on space heaters and extension cords. A few thousand of those and we'll be golfing by 9:00. We'll update if that happens; otherwise, enjoy your day and be careful on the roads.

Don't get excited yet, the ground( tees fairways greens) are frozen... I'll check again after lunch but it's best if you don't get your hopes up for golf today( tomorrow Saturday or Sunday)

Sorry for the late post, my phone froze up.?!??!!! -5c we got going on temps by 11:30 yesterday but it's quite a bit colder today. If the fairways and tees don't thaw out we won't open at all. I'll update at 11:00

20mm of rain yesterday and overnight..the cloud cover from said rain cleared off around 5:30 this morning so even though we have frost, it isn't nearly as bad as we saw this past weekend. And what exactly does all this preamble mean? There will be a delay of the start time until 10ish and the greens won't be frozen so we should be playing on all the greens today. Full sunshine all day, get out and enjoy the day.

Cloudy with a few showers ..that sounds way better than clear and cold. The clear and cold is for the next week or so with rain forecast for the first week of December. My how opinions change about clear and sunny weather depending on the time of year... 'golfers' what a fickle bunch. Today is probably the only day this week we play on regular greens so keep that in mind if you're on the fence about playing today. Barring any unforeseen circumstances the start will be on time,on greens.

I wish it would cloud over and rain..only at night though and it could warm up to 20c during the day ...then it wouldn't have to cloud over and rain... ok I wish it was warmer... short and sweet. Probably just temps today, just like yesterday (11:30 start on temps..)? We'll see.

It has been below zero since I went to bed last night and is currently -2 at the Pro Shop and -5 (no exaggeration) down at the driving range tee. Obviously, there will be quite a wait today, certainly longer than yesterday's 11:00 start. The greens feel like concrete (still no exaggeration), so we may have to start the day on temps when the frost comes off the rest of the course. We'll play that one by ear.

Well, in terms of temperature we're starting today a couple of degrees on the wrong side of 0. I have to assume we'll be shooting for a start closer to 11:00 than yesterday's 10:00. We only had frost yesterday; today we have Frost. See you out there as soon as we can.

It's clear out so there is no surprise that there's frost... It's not near as cold as yesterday so logically the delay won't be as long. Now to get whoever is in charge of the weather to cooperate..?!??!? If you're warmed up and ready to go by 10:00 you shouldn't be far off the mark .. If something happens that we start quite a bit earlier than that I'll update.

Well so much for bright sunshine... This high cloud doesn't help any either...we won't be starting earlier than 10:30 and 11:00 is probably closer to the truth... Well cleared up the frost situation for another day.

-1c with a bit of a breeze... Not what we're used to that's for sure. If the sun shines bright right off the bat we might get going around the 10:30 mark, might being the key word. I'll update around 9:00 for a clearer picture .

Well the wind is picking up and it's starting to drizzle, oh and you can't see the mountain ... Seems like the forecast for today is correct. The good news?, no snow until Thursday. Yeaahh!

After Thursday's light mist (35mm), I guess winter golf is here...the sun is supposed to shine today but at present it's cloudy(no frost). Monday and Tuesday  are supposed to be a bit damp so maybe today is the day for your golf unless this cloud cover becomes more than expected...Arizona is in Seattle for the late game today, that should be good. Enjoy your day.

Well, that was fun. Another 3.5 inches of rain and we would have 5 inches of rain! As it is, our meager amount has left us with the odd puddle. We're definitely playable, though, so we'll see you out there today.

Power carts will be permitted today (with the assumption that everyone realizes how easily damage is incurred at this time of year when carts leave the path). Please  join me in a rousing round of Carts Paths Only. Say it loud and say it often.

We'll start on the Pines as it is the drier side of the course so far. By the time you make it around to the Glen it should have drained off some and gotten to look a lot more appealing.

You'd think that after a night of rain there would be no chance of frost in the morning..on most occasions you'd be correct but, on this particular morning, not so much! It cleared up and the frost is forming as I type.. It shouldn't be near as bad as yesterday so there might not be a delay or if there is, not too long. Sun today and storm tomorrow, just sayin'. When the thermometer reads a balmy 0c we all know there's frost at the golf course,right?,right. Now the question of the morning is "when will the frost be gone ?"( do you put the question mark first or the exclamation marks?, Aagghh I should of paid attention in school on the day they told us that). The answer to the aforementioned question is ?...that's a hard one to nail down exactly especially since we haven't had frost in such a long time and the time has changed and the forecast is calling for rain showers this afternoon so there will be clouds rolling in and what time will they arrive?, is the sun going to shine brightly when it rises or will there be a bit of fog or cloud cover?.. Holy I'm stressed out already..10:00 , let's go with 10:00 and if it's later you'll have to wait and if it's earlier you'll be late..we'll know better later. Way to much typing ,this early in the morning, for me.. Enjoy your day.
