This week in the Golf Shop

Here are this weeks specials in the Golf Shop. Although the snow is mostly gone the gound is completely frozen and unplayable. A little bit of rain would be ideal to help the thaw. 

#1 Pines

Might be -3 in my car right now but it is great to see the sun coming up. Unfortunately it won't be an early start on the course today. If you're looking to play today give us a call aroun 11:00 for an update. 

November 8th??

Can you believe this is November 8th? Looks like a golf day to me. Fairways are dry and greens are stimping around 10.5!! Come on out, only $22.00 after 12:00. 

November rates

Tomorrow, November 1st marks the first day for our winter rates. $35 for 18 holes includes 3 Callaway golf balls. Bring a foursome or more for $30.00 including 3 Callaway balls. After 12:00pm, $22.00 for as many as you want to play. 

Greens Aeration

We have scheduled greens aeration for the Glen nine Tuesday, April 16th and the Pines nine Wednesday, April 17th. The only thing that will stop us is rain. Please mark this in your calendars.

Junior Golf

Monday, April 15th will mark the official start of our new and improved junior program. We already have 40 kids registered and we are looking forward to providing them with an environment that they can excel as golfers and young adults. Lessons will be offered at no charge to junior members on Mondays between 4:30 and 5:30 starting April 15th.

Great Course Conditions on Family Day

It was a great family day at Pheasant Glen today. More then 100 golfers played and 3 signed up for winter passes til the end of March because they felt we have the best course conditions around. Our Maintenance staff of 4 should be commended for providing us all with dry fairways and good greens. The Golf Shop may even have the best smokies in town?!?!

Family day weekend

Has been a great weekend so far. Weather has cooperated and the course is in great shape. Gonna be a busy day tomorrow, if you are thinking of playing call the Golf Shop to check availability.

More course improvements

Here's our Superintendent, Kelly Jacobson, on a course inspection. This is the fairway bunker on the 8th hole of the Pines nine. New drainage and shaping as we continue to make course improvements during the off season.

Rain storm

Well that was quite a rain storm that came through here. Well done to those of you who stayed out there! A true test of west coast weather.

Weekend twilight green fee special

This weekend we will be offering a Twilight green fee special. Come and play after 12:00 for $30.00 and receive a warm up bag of range balls and sleeve of Callaway golf balls for FREE!!

Course Update

The frost has lifted and we are open for play. All regular greens and good conditions. Another bonus day for January.

January 28th

Was a great day for golf. Can't believe the good golf days we've had this month. With such great course conditions we have set records for rounds of golf in January and we still have 3 days left.

Course is open!

The weekend has finally arrived and it looks to be a good day for golf. All greens are open an we are in time. Come on out and enjoy a game then brag that you played in such good conditions on January 26th.

January 25th

What a day today! Hard to believe it is January 25th. The sun is shining and course is full. Hope everyone made lots of birdies.

Weekend conditions

The weather doesn't look too bad for the weekend coming up. Maybe a drizzle or two but the course is in great shape and 18 holes is only $30.00.

Update successful

I believe it has been achieved! All the great news and course condition updates shared by the Maintenance Staff in the early mornings will now be updated to Twitter and Facebook at the same time.

Frost update

We have opened 9 holes on temp greens. Regular greens may open if they thaw out this afternoon.

Happy New Year!!

Well, we went from sunshine to a blizzard in less then 24 hours. The 2012 golf season at Pheasant Glen is officially over. We wish everyone a great and safe New Year and look forward to seeing you on the course in 2013.

Bunker Reno

Bunker reno complete on Pines #9. New drainage and now a flat bottom with soft rolling edges. On to the right side bunker. Course conditions continue to improve with projects like these. Well down maintenance team.
